We have week-long intensives in Ballet & Jazz as well as Master Classes.
Mini Intensive (ages 8-10)
Do you have an 8-10 year old dancer who LOVES to dance? Then the Dance Matters Mini Summer Intensive is the place to be! Don’t miss the chance to train and perform this summer!
One week of Ballet & Jazz!
July 27-31, 2026
Details:
- For rising Level 2 & 3 Dancers. Not a current Dance Matters student? Reach out to schedule an audition!
- Full day programming Monday – Friday: 9am – 4:30pm.
- Location: Dance Matters NYC’s state of the art studios at 3704 Queens Blvd, Suite 204, Long Island City, NY 11101.
In-Studio Performance will be held on Friday.
Spots are limited! Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
EARLY BIRD PRICING AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 15:
$670/week
After Early Bird – $700/week
A 50% deposit on total tuition is due at time of registration to secure your spot! The remaining payment is due the first day of the intensive.
Tuition includes:
- Over 30 hours of dance learning and instruction
- One-on-one attention to advance dance technique
- Performance Participation
There is something really special for a dancer to be able to focus on their craft all day during the bright hours of the day, level up, make friends and then go out and continue to enjoy the sunshine!

Ballet Intensive (ages 10-15)
Do you have a 10-15 year old dancer who LOVES Ballet? Then the Dance Matters Summer Ballet Intensive is the place to be! Don’t miss the chance to train and perform this summer!
Our summer dancers will work on setting, learning and performing the beautiful production of Serenade in a not to miss outdoor performance
Three weeks of Ballet!
Summer 2026 Dates
Week 1: July 6-10
Week 2: July 13-17
Week 3: July 20-24
Details:

- Dancers are required to attend at least two weeks of intensive, and must attend all three weeks in order to perform.
- Full day programming Monday – Friday: 9am – 4:30pm.
- Location: Dance Matters NYC’s state of the art studios at 3704 Queens Blvd, Suite 204, Long Island City, NY 11101.
Outdoor Performance will be held on the last Friday of the intensive – Friday, July 24th in the afternoon.
Spots are limited! Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

- 3 full weeks with over 100 hours of dance learning and instruction
- One-on-one attention to advance ballet technique
- Introduction to pointe work for dancers ages 10+ who are strong enough and ready. If you are a student at DMNYC assessments for summer intro to pointe will take place in June.
- Performance Participation – dancers attending three weeks of intensive will be eligible to perform at the Park Summer Performance

Jazz Intensive (ages 10-15)
Musical Theater Jazz Intensive!
We are so excited to be offering a week-long Musical Theater/Jazz dance intensive with the amazing Joseph Harrington! He will be delving into the incredible musical West Side Story!
This intensive is for rising Level 4 and Up dancers! The week will culminate in an in-studio performance :).
August 24 – 28
