Project Inspire is an in-school dance residency program for Grades 1-5. In the span of the residency, our dance instructors will use dance to empower your students and provide them with additional skills to complement what they are already learning in the classroom

What we do:

Our dance residency starts with a story. A story that we will bring to life through movement, costumes and props. This story is powered by the students so they are invested and excited from day one. Our teaching artist will facilitate the exploration of movement as a tool for communication and expression. Students will learn dance terminology and steps and combine them into movement phrases. The creation and use of props and costumes will turn the movement phrases into the story that the class wishes to tell at the culminating performance.

When a child is provided with new challenges and trained through them and then can see how their hard work pays off, it gives them a sense of accomplishment and builds confidence. During our residency our teachers commemorate the diversity of dance and create inclusive environments for students of all backgrounds, abilities, and gender identities. They offer students a place to thrive and engage in the happiness, discipline, and fellowship of dance, while also focusing their physical energies through the joy of movement.
